The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra has announced its New Music Festival that will take place June 20-23. The festival will feature many Peabody faculty artists, including Marin Alsop, conducting; Kevin Puts, composition; and Katherine Needleman, oboe. The festival will include many different events in spaces all over the city, and will conclude with a symphony concert and the world premiere of Moonlight, an oboe concerto by Puts. Faculty artist Du Yun, composition, will also be featured on the concert with her piece “Slow Portraits.”
