Mark G. Meadows Releases Single, Performs, Directs

Mark G. MeadowsMark G. Meadows (BM ’11, GPD ’13, Jazz Piano; KSAS BA ’11, Psychology) will release a new single, “Superstition,” on Friday, September 21. There will be two release shows in tandem with this release: in New York City on Saturday, September 22, at 8:00 pm at the Rockwood Music Hall and Durham, N.C. on Saturday, September 28, at 5:00 pm at the Pour Taproom. He will be releasing more singles over the next few months and performing in a number of shows all over the world. Also upcoming, Meadows will be the music director for some upcoming shows at the Signature Theatre. Recently, he music directed a “Sound Health” concert, which was at the Kennedy Center and involved Renee Fleming, Jason Moran, Matthew Whitaker, Chloe and Maud Arnold, and other guests. Finally, he and The Mellow Tones, the acapella jazz group he directs at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, recorded a video for NPR’s “More Perfect” podcast.
