Bijan Olia (BM ’11, MM ’12, Computer Music) premiered his piece Streicher, Tasti et Bizarreries for piano quartet, melodica, and toy piano at the Theatricum Botanicum alongside pieces by Danny Elfman, Harry Gregson-Williams, and Michael A. Levine on September 28 in a concert presented by Composer Collective. The venue, in Topanga, Calif., is outside, providing a unique performance experience for Olia’s piece.
