Amanda Dame Gives Holiday Concerts

dame and de souzaMaster’s candidate Amanda Dame, flute, has performed around Baltimore and Washington, D.C. in a number of holiday performances. On Sunday, December 9, Dame was joined by graduate performance diploma candidate Chelsea de Souza, piano, in a performance at Anderson House in Washington, D.C., home to the Society of the Cincinnati in Dupont Circle. They presented a diverse program with everything from fun holiday classics to rarely-performed music by Sidney Lanier. Music on the program included Three American Pieces by Lukas Foss, Romance Op. 23 by Amy Beach, Embraceable You by George Gershwin, and Wind Song by Sidney Lanier. The event was sold out. Then, Dame appeared solo as a part of the Hedgelawn Classical Series presents Peabody at The Mainstay concert on Sunday, December 16. There she presented a concert of holiday music.
