The Peabody Renaissance Ensemble has been selected as a Festival Ensemble for the 2019 Young Performers Festival and Showcase, a part of the Bloomington Early Music Festival. The festival will take place May 22-24, and will offer performances and workshops for PRE. There, PRE will present a program of Medieval, Renaissance, and traditional music taken from three programs the group has presented during in the 2018-19 academic year, including “Music for Three Faiths,” “The World of Leonardo,” and an all-Spanish program the ensemble performed at the Conciertos de la Villa de Santo Domingo Festival, Dominican Republic, in February 2019. They were also featured on this week’s Early Music America Weekly E-Notes.
