Elisa Koehler (BM ’87, Trumpet, Music Education; DMA ’96, Conducting) will begin a new position in August 2019 as Music Department Chair and Professor of Music at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This spring she was elected Secretary of the International Trumpet Guild (ITG), and her article, “Deconstructing Arban: Perspectives on the Art of Phrasing,” appeared in the March 2019 issue of the ITG Journal.
