Sun-Young “Sunny” Park (DMA ‘19, Composition) is the director of the South Korean section of the Asia-America New Music Institute (AANMI). The group has announced its first competition, “Passing the Torch.” The winner will join AANMI on an all-expenses-paid concert tour of Japan featuring their piece in some of Japan’s most prominent cultural sites and concert halls. Applicants must be under the age of 35 as of January 31, 2020, and be available to travel with AANMI from June 18-30, 2020.
