Johanna Kvam (MM ’16, Vocal Accompanying) has been promoted to be Mainstage Répétiteur for all major productions in her second season as Sanford Studio Artist Pianist with Kentucky Opera. She recently filled in as répétiteur at Opera Fayetteville for a production of Cipullo’s Glory Denied. After a performance of Anne Frank’s Diary in Williamsburg, VA, a monodrama for soprano composed in 1968 by Russian composer Grigory Frid, The Virginia Gazette stated, “The entire piece was breathtaking. The accompanist, Johanna Kvam, couldn’t have been a more powerful companion to the words and music.”
