Assistant Professor Jenine Brown, music theory, and Nathan Cornelius (DMA ’18, Guitar) recently published an article on “Hearing tetrachords in an atonal context” in the Journal of New Music Research. Doctoral piano student Jun Luke Foster recorded the music, and 72 Peabody students participated in the experiment, which was funded in part by at Faculty Development Grant. Brown also had an article titled “Improving Sight-Singing Skills using the New SmartMusic Website” published by the College Music Symposium.
