Peabody Music Theory Professor Kip Wile has been elected president and Assistant Professor Jenine Brown has been elected secretary of the Music Theory Society of the Mid-Atlantic. The Society for Music Theory promotes the development of and engagement with music theory as a scholarly and pedagogical discipline.
Chair and Associate Professor of Music Theory Joel Puckett’s opera The Fix will be included in the Minnesota Opera’s new digital summer series. The opera, a tale of epic proportions set against the backdrop of America’s favorite pastime baseball, will be available for streaming online from Thursday, June 4 to Tuesday, July 19.
