Joseph Montcalmo, Peabody’s Director of Academic Technology and Instructional Design, was invited to present at the Curtis Institute’s faculty in-service day on January 15, 2021. The hour-long professional development session, titled Rethinking Engagement, provided an overview of teaching using Zoom videoconferencing, how to design engaging assignments, and best practices for balancing synchronous and asynchronous teaching in remote and in-person methodologies.
