Faculty artist Eileen Cornett presented a series of master classes for singers and collaborative pianists in a virtual collaborative piano residency at the Blair School of Music of Vanderbilt University. Professor Cornett also participated as a panelist on Peabody’s Lunch & Learn Series, “Low Latency Platforms: The Future of Music Collaboration.”

Nathan Cicero (MM ’18, Vocal Accompanying) has been named as music director of Chicago Summer Opera’s scenes program. He is also a faculty member of the St. Croix Valley Opera’s Summer Vocal Institute and is Assistant Conductor for their “Opera on the River Grand” concert on August 7.

Yin Zhu (MM ’17, GPD ’19, Vocal Accompanying) is the staff vocal accompanist at Tianjin Normal University.

Rayna Slavova’s (MM ’13, Vocal Accompanying) paper on Benjamin Britten’s Songs and Proverbs of William Blake has been awarded the Marcel et Sylvain Caron prize at the University of Montreal.

Christine Pulliam Melamed (MM ’10, Vocal Accompanying), the founder of NYC’s Prelude Opera, continued her successful children’s opera programming with live performances as well as a livestream of Seymour Barab’s Little Red Riding Hood at Fort Tryon Park in Manhattan.

Stephanie Baird (MM ’21, Vocal Accompanying) is the Collaborative Pianist in Voice at the Summer Arts Camp at Interlochen Center for the Arts.
