The Peabody Jazz Ensemble was named Outstanding Saxophone Section (alongside the University of Wyoming and Temple University) and Outstanding Trumpet Section (alongside Temple University and Vanderbilt University) at the Jazz at Lincoln Center 2023 Jack Rudin Jazz Championship on January 15.
Students Thomas Schinabeck and Ebban Dorsey were cited for Outstanding Alto Saxophone and Kevin Tzanetis was cited alongside Florida State’s Wayne Pearcy, University of Wyoming’s Micah Miller, and Temple’s Banks Sapnar for Honorable Mention Trumpet.
