Eric Cha-Beach (BM ’04, GPD ’05, Percussion), a member of the Princeton Performers-in-Residence Sō Percussion, co-authored and arranged Korean Songs for Marimba, a collection of two and four mallet solo marimba etudes celebrating and embracing traditional Korean music, with percussionist Ji Hye Jung (BM ’07, Percussion). Ji Hye is releasing videos of the pieces on her YouTube channel. Cha-Beach is also Co-Director and Principal Administrator of the So Percussion Summer Institute, which ran July 16-30 in Princeton, NJ. And Sō Percussion recently released a video for “Vodalities,” by—and a collaboration with—Baltimore beat boxer Shodekeh.
