Violinist Patrick Yim’s latest album, One: New Music for Unaccompanied Violin (New West Recordings), adds to the already rich solo violin repertoire with six works by contemporary composers Takuma Itoh, Ilari Kaila, John Liberatore, Páll Ragnar Pálsson, Juri Seo, and faculty artist Matthew Schreibeis, whose “Fragile Remembrance,” a meditation on how memories fade over time, Kim debuted in 2023 and has performed throughout the US and China.
