Violinist Jacqi Fan, 17, has won First Place in the U.S. Army Orchestra Concerto Competition after performing in the finals on Saturday. Jacqi will perform the third movement from Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D Major with the orchestra on May 16, 2025. Jacqi studies with Rebecca Henry and grew up at the Preparatory in the Young People’s String Program and Performance Academy and is currently a member of the Pre-Conservatory Violin Program.
