Thomas Kotcheff Releases Piano Album “Between Systems”

Headshot of Thomas KotcheffMid-century piano works by John Cage and Morton Feldman form the basis of Between Systems, a provocative new album by composer/pianist Thomas Kotcheff (BM ’10, Piano) and composer/electronic artist Bryan Curt Kostors, released on Friday, October 3 on Post Tonal Records. The nine-track CD and digital release will be available for purchase on Bandcamp and streaming on all major platforms.

Between Systems features Kotcheff on piano and Kostors on a variety of electronic instruments, from analog synthesizers to advanced digital applications. Kotcheff is widely praised for his “truly beautiful and inspired” compositions (I Care If You Listen), and his “dazzling” performances (Night After Night). Kostors is known for his technical mastery and expansive artistic vision. His output encompasses concert works, film and television scores, filmmaking, and sound design.
