The Seattle Chamber Music Society (SCMS) has acquired The Concert Truck, a traveling music venue founded by pianists Susan Zhang (GPD ’18, Piano) and Nick Luby that brings world-class classical music directly into city streets, festivals, schools, neighborhoods, parks, and other common spaces.
The Concert Truck will continue to be led by Zhang as director. Throughout September and October 2025, The Concert Truck will present performances at a Juvenile Probation Center, a winery, parks, museums, performing arts centers, and dozens of schools.
Since its founding in 2016 by pianists Susan Zhang and Nick Luby, The Concert Truck has partnered with organizations including the Kennedy Center’s Washington National Opera, Gilmore Piano Festival, Piano Cleveland, the Aspen Music Festival and School, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
