Cellist and composer Andrea Casarrubios (BM ’11, Cello) was commissioned to write two new cello concerti, one for Gregorio Nieto and the other for faculty artist Amit Peled, with whom she studied during her time at Peabody. “Casarrubios for Peled” will premiere in six American cities in 2027.
