The Peabody Institute Advisory Board (PIAB) is composed of university trustees, alumni, business and community leaders, and individuals throughout the country and the world who share a commitment to music and dance and the special role that Peabody plays in leading at the intersection of arts and education. PIAB members support the Peabody Institute’s mission and the vision and strategy of its leadership, with a focus on helping the dean to increase and sustain resources needed to achieve the Institute’s goals. Recently, Peabody welcomed four new board members:

Regina Curry

Regina Curry is the chief diversity officer at Franklin Templeton, where she leverages more than 20 years of human resources and business experience to advance global diversity and inclusion initiatives. She previously held similar roles at Legg Mason and McCormick & Company, where her efforts led to recognition by DiversityInc as a “Top 50 Company for Diversity.” In 2020, she was honored as one of the “Top 10 Influential Women in Diversity” by Diversity Global Magazine and has received accolades from Savoy Magazine and the Girl Scouts of Maryland. Curry serves on several boards, including Fiduciary Trust International and the Financial Alliance for Racial Equity, and is an active community leader. An Akron, Ohio, native, she holds a BA in psychology from Northern Kentucky University and multiple professional certifications, including one from Harvard Business School in global business. Passionate about fostering inclusive cultures, Curry believes that a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion enhances performance and outcomes for employees and clients.

Suzanne Foote

Suzanne Foote oversees content creation, branding, and internal communications at Bloomberg Philanthropies, ensuring that the organization’s board and leadership receive essential materials andanalyses to support decision-making. In addition to her communications role, Foote partners on new program development and provides strategic support for key projects within Bloomberg’s philanthropic, political, and business initiatives. She began her career with Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2010 as a member of his speechwriting team in New York City Hall. Originally from the Midwest, she is a proud graduate of Northwestern University.

Suzanne Foote oversees content creation, branding, and internal communications at Bloomberg Philanthropies, ensuring that the organization’s board and leadership receive essential materials andanalyses to support decision-making. In addition to her communications role, Foote partners on new program development and provides strategic support for key projects within Bloomberg’s philanthropic, political, and business initiatives. She began her career with Mayor Michael Bloomberg in 2010 as a member of his speechwriting team in New York City Hall. Originally from the Midwest, she is a proud graduate of Northwestern University.

Mariana Garay Petrone is a distinguished professional with a strong background in finance and business strategy, including having served as an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on corporate strategy and international business from the University of Michigan, where shecontinued to foster her lifelongpassion for the arts by studying andearning a degree in piano performance.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on corporate strategy and international business from the University of Michigan, where shecontinued to foster her lifelongpassion for the arts by studying andearning a degree in piano performance.

Andres Quintero

Andres Quintero currently serves as the Emerging Therapies and Pipeline Medical Affairs Director at Novo Nordisk. Quintero is a preventive medicine and public health physician with a keen interest in structured problem-solving within health care, using his expertise in medical affairs and scalable analytics. He has held senior positions at Pfizer and Navigant and has collaborated with various government agencies to promote healthcare innovation. Quintero holds a bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology from Brown University, a medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine, and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Carey Business School.
