Jessica Renfro (MM ’03, Voice; GPD ’05, Opera) sang Cenerentola with the Jacksonville Lyric Opera in August at the Bellayre Music Festival in Upstate New York. She also had her Carnegie Hall debut in June singing “Seguedilla” and “Mon coeur” with Pacific Opera in New York City. She will appear in a reality show called The Production about how to bridge the gap between the opera singer and the pop culture audience. On November 20, she will perform one of the lead roles, Soh-Jin, in the world premiere of Ssibaji, based on a Korean folk legend, in the Korea Monitor Concert Series. She is also a DiCapo Opera Theatre Resident Artist this season alongside Peabody alumnae Andrea Nwoke (’05) and Laura Virella (BM ’03).
