Jazz faculty artist Michael Formanek‘s new CD The Rub and Spare Change has received positive critiques from many reviewers. The New York Times calls Formanek a “nimble and powerful bassist,” and The Financial Times praises the release’s “fine balance of written signposts and free playing.”
