Manuel Barrueco reviewed in Fanfare Magazine

Faculty artist Manuel Barrueco (BM ’75, Guitar) discography was reviewed in Fanfare Magazine in September. Barrueco’s goal is to elevate the classical guitar to the same level, status, and respect as that accorded other instruments. Barrueco’s playing is described as exquisite and all three of these CDs are recommended for guitar playing of the highest caliber. Jerry Dubins, the author of the article offers, “If [Barrueco]’s not the greatest living guitarist on the world stage today, I don’t know who is.”
