Tempesta di Mare/Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra just released its third CD in the past 10 months on the prestigious Chandos label. Comedie et Tragedie features music of Lully, Marais, and Rebel. This baroque orchestra is led by Peabody faculty members Gwyn Roberts and Richard Stone. Faculty members Adam Pearl and Stephen Bard are regular members of the group as well as Peabody alumni Christof Richter and William Simms, who often perform with the group. Recent alum Kevin Payne appears on this recording which also features Aik Shin Tan, a current Peabody student.
