Devon Borowski, a current master’s student in musicology, was awarded the inaugural Sara Berry Award for Excellence in Comparative Study for his presentation “[She] Loves You, Porgy”: Color Boundaries in Nina Simone’s Porgy and Bess,” in the Fourth Annual Racism, Immigration, and Citizenship Graduate Student Conference at Johns Hopkins.
