Humanities Chair Hollis Robbins has been awarded a Mellon Arts Innovation Grant to fund a new course, “The 1930s in Jazz, Film, and Poetry,” to be team-taught in Spring 2016 by Dr. Robbins, jazz faculty artist Michael Formanek, and Linda Delibero, director of the Program in Film and Media Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Arts Innovation Grants are designed to help Johns Hopkins faculty develop interdisciplinary (cross-program, cross-departmental, cross-divisional, or cross-institutional) undergraduate courses and activities that create new opportunities in the arts for JHU students.
