On October 10 at 7:30 pm, faculty artist and Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Principal Oboist Katherine Needleman will join the Columbia Orchestra as the featured soloist for a performance of Pulitzer Prize-Winner Jennifer Higdon’s Oboe Concerto for the opening of the Orchestra’s 2015-2016 season. Also on the program is Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony. Needleman won the Orchestra’s Young Artist Competition at age 13. For more information visit www.columbiaorchestra.org.
