Faculty artist Amit Peled was featured in a review in The Washington Post entitled “Paying homage to a man and his instrument.” Author Stephen Brookes describes Mr. Peled’s recreation of cellist Pablo Casals’s concert at Peabody in 1915. Mr. Peled’s performance took place on Sunday, November 8 at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater in Washington. “But Peled blended Casals-like passion with rigorous discipline,” wrote Mr. Brookes. “The Bach was, in a word, stunning.” Read the full review here.
