Faculty artist Michael Formanek was featured on the cover of the March issue of The New York City Jazz Record and in the in-depth cover article and interview by Ken Waxman, entitled “Michael Formanek: Going the Distance.” The article focuses on Mr. Formanek’s recent CD release, The Distance, with his group, Ensemble Kolossus, covering his history with big band music and his artistic relationships with the individual performers.
