Andrea Casarrubios (BM ’11, Cello) and Shir Semmel (GPD ’14, Piano) will perform as part of Ensemble ACJW at Carnegie Hall’s Paul Hall on Tuesday, March 8 at 7:30 pm. The program includes Villa-Lobos, Golijov, and Shostakovich. More info here. On Saturday, March 19, Trio Appassionata, comprised of Ms. Casarrubios, Lydia Chernicoff (BM ’10, Violin; MM ’12, Violin/Pedagogy), and Ronaldo Rolim (BM ’10, MM ’11, AD ’13, Piano), will perform Beethoven and Dvorák at An Die Musik in Baltimore. On Tuesday, March 29 at 7:00 pm, Ms. Casarrubios will premiere her composition for cello and percussion at National Sawdust in New York.
