The Peabody Opera Theatre and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra will present a semi-staged and abridged version of Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte at Memminger Auditorium in Charleston, South Carolina, with Peabody stage director Jennifer Blades and Charleston Symphony music director Ken Lam (MM ’07, Orchestral Conducting). The performance will feature vocal soloists from Peabody. Opera music director and interim chair JoAnn Kulesza will play the continuo part. The collaboration was featured in an article in The Post and Courier by Adam Parker titled “Is opera possible in Charleston? The CSO is testing a new collaborative approach.” The article features words by Ms. Blades and Mr. Lam, as well as performance photos of voice students Christine Lyons, John Chong Yoon Noh, Christopher Edwards, and Karl Butterman, as well as faculty artist Denyce Graves.
