Jazz musician and composer Jarrett Gilgore’s (BM ’15, Jazz Saxophone) original composition “A Baltimore Requiem” debuted on April 13, 2016 as part of the speaker series installment titled Experience: Public Health and the Redline, sponsored by Johns Hopkins University’s 21st Century Cities Initiative. The event took place at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of African American History and Culture. Gilgore’s composition is an electronics and alto saxophone duet with Baltimore MC Eze Jackson and accompanied a discussion of redlining in Baltimore.
