Peabody Alumni and Faculty Represent on Yellow Barn Music Festival 2017 Faculty

13164197_10154047142124765_1195431973443758927_nYellow Barn Music Festival will host many Peabody alumni and faculty artists on their 2017 faculty, including: Kim Kashkashian (BM ’73, Viola), Michael Kannen, Amy Beth Kirsten (DMA ’10, Composition), Seth Knopp, Maria Lambros, Violaine Melançon, William Sharp, and former Conservatory faculty member Christopher Theofanidis. Yellow Barn Music Festival is an international center for chamber music that encourages discovery in the studio, classroom, and concert hall; explores the craft of musical interpretation; and illuminates our world through the unique experience of music. Twice awarded the ASCAP/Chamber Music America Award for Adventurous Programming, Yellow Barn’s innovative approach to lifelong education for musicians and audiences, commitment to quality and a unified aesthetic, and programs that focus listeners in new ways, set it apart from any other chamber music center in the country.
