Violist Stephen Schmidt (DMA ’00, Viola), director of the Richmond Chamber Players, recently performed the modern-day premiere of Randall Thompson’s “The Wind in The Willows” string quartet with his colleagues from the Richmond Symphony Orchestra. For the first time, the score and parts have been published by ECS Publishing and are now available. On January 28, 2018, at 3:00 pm, Stephen is hosting a concert and master class by Leon Fleisher and his wife Katherine Jacobson at Virginia Commonwealth University.
