Faculty artists Miles Brown, jazz, and Courtney Orlando, director of Now Hear This, will be performing at Carnegie Hall on Friday, March 16, at 7:30 in Zankel Hall. They will perform with their ensemble Alarm Will Sound and feature the music of György Ligeti. In August, Brown will also be giving a presentation and recital at the 6th European Biennial Double Bass Congress and Festival in Lucca, Italy. Brown will present on improvisation strategies over pedal points in jazz standards.
