Jacomo Bairos Makes Debuts, Travels Abroad

Jacomo_BairosJacomo Bairos (GPD ’11, Conducting) made his conducting debut with the San Francisco Symphony on November 3, 2018. This concert was the symphony’s annual Dia de los Muertos community celebration, and featured ensembles and musicians from around the San Francisco area coming together to perform and connect. The Davies Symphony Hall performance was successful, and Bairos was invited back for a future engagement, to be announced soon. He also conducted the Fort Worth Symphony on their Veteran’s Day concert in November, which was given a glowing review. Bairos also took his Nu Deco Ensemble to Saratoga, N.Y., for their first performance outside of Florida, which received a wonderful review. Coming up, Bairos will conduct the Nu Deco Ensemble in another concert at Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, December 15 in Miami, Fla. In January, he travels to Singapore to conduct the Singapore Symphony Orchestra for their “Rock in 60 Minutes” concert.
