Faculty artist Du Yun, composition, has received an Opera Grant for Female Composers from Opera America for her opera Sweet Land which will premiere with The Industry in Los Angeles, Calif., in February 2020. This is the fifth cycle of commissioning grants from the organization’s Opera Grants for Female Composers. Recipients are given up to 50 percent of the composer’s fee for a full production of a commissioned work.
