Erin Freeman to Conduct, Named Finalist

Erin FreemanErin Freeman (DMA ‘16, Conducting) was recently named a finalist for Performance Today’s inaugural Classical Woman of the Year Award. The summer of 2019 brings performances in Paris of the Mozart’s Coronation Mass at La Madeleine on June 12; Asheville, N.C. a preparation for the Defiant Requiem with the Asheville Symphony and Voices of Terazin chorus; and Boston, Mass., where she will conduct Elijah in Boston Symphony Hall with Berkshire Choral International on June 29. Freeman will also appear at Wintergreen Music Festival, where she is in her fifth year as Artistic Director. Additional positions include Resident Conductor of the Richmond Ballet, Director of the Richmond Symphony Chorus, and Director of Choral Activities at Virginia Commonwealth University.
