Jake Runestad (MM ’11, Composition; MM ’12, Music Theory Pedagogy) has released a number of compositions in recent weeks, including “A Silence Haunts Me” and “Proud Music of the Storm.” His piece “Your Soul is Song” had its Carnegie Hall premiere earlier this spring and is also available. Recently, the vocal group VOCES8 released his piece “Let My Love Be Heard” on their album Enchanted Isle. An album of just Runestad’s pieces recorded by Conspirare will be released in August. Finally, Runestad finished a European tour where he conducted his pieces in Amsterdam on June 28, Bruges on June 29, and Brussels on June 30 with the Capital University Chapel Choir.
