Harlan Parker Serves as Guest Clinician for Tokyo KPASS Honor Band

Harlan Parker

Peabody faculty artist Dr. Harlan D. Parker, conductor of the Peabody Chamber Winds, served as guest clinician for the KPASS Honor Band in Tokyo from March 5–7. He was invited by Peabody alumna Naoko Hashimoto-Uesaka (BM ’01, Piano), currently a music director at an international school in Tokyo, Japan. The concert program also featured the world premiere of the winning selection from the Kanto Plain Composition Festival—an event that also included alumnus Jacob Yoffee (BM ’02, Composition; GPD ’04, Jazz Saxophone) as a festival adjudicator.
