Rosemary Tuck (MM ‘86, Piano) released a CD on the Naxos label, Carl Czerny: Bel Canto Concertante. The record includes four world premiere recordings. Inspired by the most famous and attractive themes from the Bel Canto operas, these sets of variations give full rein to the soloist and are a major contribution to the great pianist-composer tradition. The disc is a Naxos Highlight for March, and has entered the UK Specialist Classical Music Charts top 20 this week. Watch a performance by Tuck and the English Chamber Orchestra here.
